Untamed, the sweater, is hand-spun, shorn, knit, and dyed from Border Leicester sheep residing at Steam Valley Fiber Farm in Trout Run, PA. The accessories are hand crafted using the finest grade certified organic Merino wool, hand-spun with hints of naturally colored Alpaca.

PELT

PELT is an experiment in material estrangement. Made from raw, un-spun sheep’s wool, the garments in this collection restore the dialogue between man and animal. These minimally processed fibers, knit in a flurry of knots and bobbles, become sweaters that do not disguise their material origins, do not obey the contours of the human body, do not give up their independence.

Each piece is a SECOND SKIN: a source of comfort, a temporary shelter, a reminder of an animal’s gift.

ENGAGED

ENGAGED is an installation that explores a modern woman’s ambiguity toward marriage.  Two wedding gowns, two story lines, two slogans. IN THE AIR, a knitted dress of golden thread and tulle suspended above ground; TIED-UP, a crocheted gown bound in a web of ribbon and rope; two outlooks on the trappings of an age-old tradition…

Custom knit and constructed by hand using heirloom materials, such as vintage ribbon and silk embroidery thread..

VENETIAN COLLECTION

A series of sculptural dresses inspired by the majestic columns and patinated surfaces of Venetian Architecture.  All gowns are knit to shape on an electronic Shima Seiki knitting machine.
